‘’ Cáceres is a city in the western Spanish region of Extremadura. It was founded by the ancient Romans and it still preserves various vestiges of the different cultures that later occupied it. The architecture of the monumental city, as the old town is known, is a mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles, with medieval cobbled streets, and fortified houses and palaces. It is surrounded by a 12th century Moorish wall and has around 30 towers, some of them with stork nests. ”
