Lessons from a 103 years old man living in Cáceres-Spain

In the framework of the Agement project (Adult seniors awareness on Active Ageing: connecting cultural heritage with elders empowering) a team of the Centro de Cirugía de Mínima Invasión Jesús Usón (CCMIJU) interviewed a 103 years old man to know in depth about his life style. The mentioned interview was focused to produce contents to raise awareness of the active ageing.

The interviewed was Francisco Díaz, born the 24th of January 1917 at Navas del Madroño, a village located near Cáceres, in Spain, whose long-lasting life secret is to keep calm facing difficulties, enjoy work, keep fit on both body and mind and be optimistic. Videos of his interview will be published briefly.

The AGEment project proposes an innovative approach to raise awareness among older adults in active ageing through motivating multimedia contents that interrelate European Cultural Heritage with well-being promotion in Adults. They will not only be a target group of the promotional materials, but they will be involved in selection of the most important traditions and culture values, in the development of awareness messages to make them more effective and generate greater impact and finally in the promotion and spreading of the projects outputs in the society.

The participants on this proposal are The Centro de Cirugía de Mínima Invasión Jesús Usón (CCMIJU) from Spain, the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda (IPG) from Portugal, the Fundación GERON from Romania and the Centro Sportivo Educativo Nazionale (CSEN) from Italy.

Agement project is cofinanced by Erasmus+ Programme of the UE.
