Kick off Meeting of the Fostering e-inclusion to improve digital health literacy and healthy ageing in adults 50+ (LiterAge4All) Project

The virtual Kick off Meeting of the “Fostering e-inclusion to improve digital health literacy and
healthy ageing in adults 50+” project with reference nr. 2023-1-PT01-KA220-ADU-000165655 Call: Cooperation partnerships in adult education took place on Friday 2nd February 2024.
LiterAge4All has been granted with 250.000€, co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union and will last 30 months, from 31st December 2023 to 30th June 2026.
LiterAge4All aims to improve digital health literacy and promote healthy ageing on adults 50+ through accessible technology that fosters digital inclusion of those people at great risk of exclusion. Two main activities will be implemented: 1) a co-created digital educational program (course and curriculum) to improve digital literacy in health and, 2) a multichannel strategy (e-learning and TV app) to broadness this knowledge. To complement the conventional e-learning platform, an innovative TV app will be developed as alternative to deliver the learning contents to (basic digital skills and digital health literacy) to older adults. A digital health literacy course focused on promoting healthy ageing will be co-developed with adults 50+ and relevant stakeholders. To increase its acceptance and broad dissemination, a multichannel approach is proposed to foster the e-inclusion of older adults lacking digital skills. Thus, an innovative TV app will be designed to engage them on the basic digital skills and digital health literacy courses. In-Person sessions will be conducted to train volunteers on these technologies.
It counts on five organisations, Instituto Politécnico da Guarda from Portugal as project leader, and the consortium members: Fundación Centro de Cirugía de Minima Invasion Jesús Usón (Spain), Stiftung Digitale Chancen (Germany), Politechnika Slaska (Poland) and Sociedade Portuguesa de Literacia em Saúde (Portugal).
The event has been organised to meet the partners, to launch the project, and to discuss the 4 work packages: 1- management, 2- co-creation and design thinking of an educational program to improve digital health literacy and promote healthy ageing, 3- promoting e-inclusion to increase digital health literacy, and 4- dissemination and sustainability.
