Results of EducAGE Project at the 2nd International Congress on Silver Economy
Yesterday the II International Silver Economy Congress was held in Badajoz, addressed to promotion of spaces and environments that enable Active and Healthy Aging of the elderly, to prevent and delay disability and/or dependence.
Within the framework of the congress, there was an exhibition space to bring to the attendees the innovations focused on the silver economy of the SECTI research groups, spin-off companies and other regional R&D support entities.
CCMIJU was represented by a researcher from the Department of Bioengineering and Health Technologies, who explained the objectives and results of the EducAge project “Improving competences of older people caregivers towards Healthy Ageing through digital transformation”, co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. A proposal that has aimed to improve the competences of older people caregivers through healthy aging strategies based on a digital transformation of their training and daily work.
EducAGE has been developed by an European consortium formed by the Instituto Politécnico de Guarda (IPG) from Portugal, as project coordinator, Centro de Cirugía de Mínima Invasión Jesús Usón (CCMIJU) from Spain, MORE Colab from Portugal, Semmelweis Egyetem from Hungary, Univerzita Karlova and Univerzita Hradec Králové from Czech Republic.
Results include a digital white paper summarizing knowledge in elderly care and a mobile application based on the principles of mobile learning to promote active aging.
