Introduction of LiterAge4All Project at the II International Congress on Silver Economy
CCMIJU, represented by a researcher from the Department of Bioengineering and Health Technologies, explained the objectives of “Fostering e-inclusion to improve digital health literacy and healthy ageing in adults 50+” (LiterAge4All) at the II International Congress on Silver Economy held in Badajoz. This proposal has been co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union whose aim is improve digital health literacy and promote healthy ageing on adults 50+ through accessible technology that fosters digital inclusion of those people at great risk of exclusion.
The II International Silver Economy Congress was addressed to promote spaces and environments that enable Active and Healthy Aging of the elderly, to prevent and delay disability and/or dependence.
Within the framework of the congress, there was an exhibition space to bring to the attendees the innovations focused on the silver economy of the SECTI research groups, spin-off companies and other regional R&D support entities.
LiterAge4All Project is being developed by a European consortium formed by five organisations, Instituto Politécnico da Guarda from Portugal as project leader and Fundación Centro de Cirugía de Minima Invasion Jesús Usón (Spain), Stiftung Digitale Chancen (Germany), Politechnika Slaska (Poland) and Sociedade Portuguesa de Literacia em Saúde (Portugal).
