Survey to detect and diagnose colon polyps in the frame of Piccolo project
PICCOLO is a multidisciplinary project that proposes a new compact, hybrid and multimodal photonics endoscope based on Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Multi-Photon Tomography (MPT) combined with novel red-flag fluorescence technology for in vivo diagnosis and clinical decision support.
In this regard, Computer Assisted Diagnostic (CAD) systems might be of great help to increase the Adenoma Detection Rate (ADR) and the Polyp Detection Rate (PDR) as quality indicators for screening colonoscopy.
The PICCOLO consortium members have prepared a survey for gastroenterologists, endoscopists and other physicians performing colonoscopies. The results will help to understand the user needs and the best way to meet them, besides defining the functionalities of the CAD system to improve detection and diagnosis of lesions in real time.
Your feedback is highly valuable for the definition of the PICCOLO CAD system and we would appreciate the completion of the questionnaire, which will not take more than 4-5 minutes, just 17 questions. The questionnaire is available in three languages: English, German and Spanish.
