From the Medical Illustration service, we cover the other JUMISC units’ needs in the field of Imaging by making medical illustrations, designing backgrounds for presentations and lecture or editing posters and other visual material for congresses and exhibitions. We offer support for the diffusion of research results.  The Medical Illustration Service dedicates most part of its time in making illustrations, from hand-made pictures to photographs which are used in the handbooks that the JUMISC edits and publishes. The illustrator collaborates with different medical specialists, even visiting the operating room to be present in the interventions, following procedures in the laboratories or assisting to corps dissections. This activities composes a careful and exhaustive previous work which results in precise and in great detail anatomical images. These illustrations are a complete, valuable and essential didactic material for doctors and teachers. Â
The JUMISC advertising design is also realized by the Medical Illustration Service. In this field, our creativity works to create impacting images with a great value in the medical-scientific language. Â
Within Medical Illustration, the 3D design seems to become the tool of the closest future. Anatomic models of organs and animations that simulate surgical techniques have been developed for the last years. In order to create these models with a rigorous accuracy, the specialist works based on the images resulting from MRN and TC studies. Â
Research is an activity in constant evolution thus professionals need precise scientific images to transmit their advances in the different fields. The medical illustrator transforms complex information into didactic images that are understandable for a wide audience. Â Â |
