The Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre, (JUMISC), in Cáceres, is an institution dedicated to the training and research of minimally invasive surgical techniques.
The JUMISC organises an extensive program of education and training in various disciplines for resident medical and surgical doctors, nurses, veterinarians, doctors and surgeons and other health professionals
The research that takes place in the JUMISC is aimed at carrying out studies, comparing minimally invasive surgical procedures with traditional surgical techniques, with a special emphasis on applied research

The Laboratories

The laboratories are located in the Surgical area of JUMISC and comprise modern scientific and clinical equipment.
The Cell Therapy Laboratory
The Cell Therapy Laboratory takes up a floor space of 81.02 m2 for the development of techniques of molecular and cell biology. The lab has two rooms dedicated to cell culture for isolation, cultivation and the processing of different cell lines.
The Clinical Analysis Laboratory
Measuring 116 m2, this supports biomedical research conducted in CCMIJU. This includes haematology, biochemistry, coagulation, gas, pHmetry, studies, among others. |
