The Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre, (JUMISC), in Cáceres, is an institution dedicated to the training and research of minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Training
The JUMISC organises an extensive program of education and training in various disciplines for resident medical and surgical doctors, nurses, veterinarians, doctors and surgeons and other health professionals
Applied research
The research that takes place in the JUMISC is aimed at carrying out studies, comparing minimally invasive surgical procedures with traditional surgical techniques, with a special emphasis on applied research

The Philips Brilliance CT System-6 is the Computer Axial Tomography (CAT or CT Scan), which incorporates 24 arches of solid-state detectors that permits the simultaneous acquisition of 6 cuts in a rotation of 360 º. With a minimum thickness of cut (0.6 mm) and a speed of whole body scanning of 0.75 seconds at 360 º, a very high speed with excellent image quality is achieved. The workstation connection with DICOM 3.0 format parallel to the main console allows both elementary and advanced post processing of the image. The software includes the following applications:
