The laparoscopy operating room at the Minimal Invasive Surgery Centre Jesus Usón is designed to optimise training in these surgical techniques, allowing complete interaction between the expert collaborators who visit our facilities to teach courses, and for the surgeons from various specialties attending courses in the techniques of minimally invasive surgery.
Thus, this operating theatre, which occupies an area of 154.30 m2, has 8 simultaneous surgical stations, all of them equipped with a laparoscopy tower comprising a monitor, a light source, camera and an insufflation system affixed to an articulated arm hanging from the ceiling,so that the wires or other obstacles do not hinder the movement within, or cleaning of the operating room. Each of these positions has an inhalation anaesthetic that allows for long-term laparoscopic procedures.
To supplement training this operating theatre also provides an interactive electronic display with a touch-sensitive surface that allows the viewing of videos, step-by-step demonstration of techniques for practice, presentations, etc..
