General operating rooms 1,2,4 and 5

The general operating rooms, with an approximate area of 70m2, consisting of 7 laparoscopy towers, 6 diathermy systems and 4 anaesthetic machines, and laparosocopy towers which comprise a monitor, a light source, camera and an insufflation system. In addition to the aforementioned diathermy equipment there are also 4 electrocoagulation machines (ICC200, Erbe ®), an ultrasonic scalpel (Auto Sonix, USSC ®) and vessel sealant (Ligasure, Valleylab ®).

Since 2006, the Centre for Minimal Invasive Surgery Jesus Usón has had an Integrated Operating Room,. This is a new concept in the field of surgery, including suspension computer systems and monitors through articulated arms and a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure operating room, aiming to optimise the performance of the surgical team.

The integrated operating theatre occupies a floor surface of 77 m2 and is equipped with a laparoscopic surgery tower for high-performance components and accessories, compatible and combined with other equipment (fluoroscopy, ultrasound, anaesthesia) for application in gastrointestinal surgery, respiratory, urinary, chest, etc.

The new computerised operating room system allows the surgeon to control the parameters of all the laparoscopic stations via touch, or voice.

Other benefits of the operating room, are the off-the-ground organisation of the standard cables and connectors, which keep the floor obstacle-free, facilitating the flow of personnel, and in turn maximising hygiene, disinfection and aseptic conditions.

The features allow for both conventional and minimally invasive surgery to be carried out. Its compatibility with other equipment (fluoroscopy and 3D ultrasound) for a more accurate diagnosis of diseases, allows a direct view of 4 images simultaneously, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, laparoscopic and outside camera image - making the operating room ideal for all types of high performance studies and research operations.
