The JUMISC organises an extensive program of education and training in various disciplines for resident medical and surgical doctors, nurses, veterinarians, doctors and surgeons and other health professionals, providing the participants various training activities and the possibility of surgical training using the advanced technological resources of JUMISC. The JUMISC coordinates and programs, three years in advance, the future training needs in the world of minimally invasive surgery, to continue its landmark in health training. The JUMISC coordinates and programs, three years in advance, the future training needs in the world of minimally invasive surgery, to continue its landmark in health training.
The basic and advanced training courses include surgical practic and theory sessions, based on a personal training model for minimally invasive surgical techniques. Numerous educational tools are employed in the learning process, such as different teaching materials, laparoscopic simulators and virtual reality, video conferencing with live surgery practised on experimental models, facilitating the acquisition of knowledge and skills by health professionals.
Activities are taught by a group of qualified professionals, both from JUMISC itself, and its broad range of over 300 scientific contributors worldwide. In the operating rooms modern equipment and surgical instruments are used, according to the different specialties: Laparoscopy, Microsurgery, General Surgery and Traumatology, Diagnostics and Therapeutics endoluminal, Endoscopy and Anaesthetics.
The Quality Certificate, of AENOR ER-0430/2002 and IQNET ES-0430/2002, according to UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008, for the training activities, ensures the effectiveness in the learning process and the close collaboration between professionals, through the formation of small groups of students (usually 10-12 students).
